Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed
Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Chimney Cleaning Specials in Fairfax, VA
If you’re looking for chimney cleaning specials in Fairfax, call (571) 443-8256 and we’ll tell you exactly what’s included before anyone steps foot in your home. Level Two Chimney Fairfax runs seasonal offers because fall in Northern Virginia creates a predictable rush, and booking a sweep before burning season beats waiting until the first cold snap. Every offer below comes with a written price before work starts, a documented photo record when it’s done, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise behind it.
Current Offers
Fall Chimney Sweep & Inspection Package
A sweep and a camera-scan inspection (NFPA 211 Level 2) at one seasonal rate. This is the offer most Fairfax homeowners book in September and October, before the first fire of the year. Covers the flue liner, smoke chamber, damper, firebox, and crown, with photos included under Clause 4 of the Haven Standard.
Valid through December 31, 2026. Mention this offer when you call (571) 443-8256.
Free Second Opinion on Any Written Estimate
Bring us a competitor’s written quote and we’ll review it line by line. If the scope is accurate, we’ll tell you. If it’s inflated, we’ll show you the camera footage that proves it, and give you our own written price for the same work. This isn’t a discount, it’s a standing brand policy.
Valid through December 31, 2026. Mention this offer when you call (571) 443-8256.
Chimney Cap & Crown Season Special
When you book a sweep and we find crown spalling or a missing cap, we’ll roll the repair into the same visit at a single written price. That means no second service-call fee and no guessing. Fairfax rain and freeze-thaw cycles chew up crowns, and we’d rather fix a small spall than rebuild the top eight courses of brick later.
Valid through December 31, 2026. Mention this offer when you call (571) 443-8256.
First-Time Customer Sweep Courtesy
Never had your Fairfax chimney swept, or just moved into a home and don’t know its history? We’ll walk you through every finding with the camera footage on screen. Since 2009, Level Two Chimney Co. has inspected and cleaned more than 38,000 chimneys, and every one got a written price before we started and a documented record when we finished.
Valid through December 31, 2026. Mention this offer when you call (571) 443-8256.
Senior & Military Courtesy
Ask about our standing courtesy for active-duty military, veterans, and Fairfax seniors booking a sweep. We’ll note it on your written scope so there’s no surprise at the end of the visit, and the same flat, written price rule applies to every line item.
Valid through December 31, 2026. Mention this offer when you call (571) 443-8256.
Dryer Vent Clearance Add-On
While we’re at your Fairfax home for a chimney sweep, we’ll clear a standard dryer vent at a reduced add-on rate. Lint buildup is a fire hazard that shows up on thermal cameras, and it’s the fastest add-on we do all year. Ask for it when you book.
Valid through December 31, 2026. Mention this offer when you call (571) 443-8256.

Call (571) 443-8256 and mention the offer by name. A live person answers, 24/7, not a voicemail and not a web form. You’ll get a written price and written scope before any work begins, and a written warranty when it’s done. Do You Really Need a Sweep This Year?

If you burned a cord of wood last season, the answer is almost always yes. Fairfax humidity and cold winters create condensation inside the flue, and condensation turns creosote into a thick, smoke-saturated glaze. Left alone, Class III creosote is fuel. A chimney fire doesn’t usually announce itself, but the damage it leaves in the flue liner and smoke chamber shows up on our camera scans. The point isn’t to scare anyone. The point is that a sweep costs a fraction of what a liner replacement costs, and we have the photos from 16 years of Fairfax chimneys to prove it.
What Actually Happens During a Sweep?
We run rotary rods and brushes through the flue, remove the creosote and soot, vacuum the firebox and smoke chamber, and inspect every accessible surface. Then the camera scan goes up the flue to check for cracks, gaps, and spalling. You’ll see the footage. Not a summary, the footage. If the liner is fine, we tell you it’s fine and you get the photo record to confirm it. If it’s not, we explain what we found in plain terms and give you a written price for the repair. Nothing gets recommended without evidence you can see for yourself.
Why Fairfax Homeowners Call Level Two Chimney

Because the price is on the page before the work starts. Corrine Halstead, Owner, built Level Two Chimney Co. under the Haven Standard on one belief: a homeowner should never be told their chimney is unsafe without being shown the photo that proves it. We buy materials through Haven’s network, from DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield, and that purchasing power is what keeps our Fairfax prices honest. We don’t run bait pricing, we don’t upsell what the camera doesn’t show, and we don’t ask you to trust us without documentation.
Frequently Asked Questions About Chimney Specials in Fairfax
A standard sweep and inspection in Fairfax typically runs between $190 and $320 depending on flue height, creosote condition, and whether the chimney is masonry or prefabricated. You’ll get a written price before we start, every time, and our seasonal packages bring the inspection cost down when booked together. Call (571) 443-8256 for the exact number on your chimney.
Maybe, maybe not. In Fairfax we see a lot of older liners with clay tile cracks that don’t yet warrant replacement, and we see some that do. The only way to know is a camera scan, which we include on every visit. Bring us another company’s written estimate and we’ll review it free, with our own camera footage side by side. If your liner is sound, we’ll tell you plainly and document it.
The NFPA 211 standard says once a year for wood-burning fireplaces that see regular use. Gas fireplaces can go longer, but the venting should still be inspected. If you skipped last year and you’re burning a fire a week in January, you’re due. Call (571) 443-8256 and we’ll get you on the schedule before the cold sets in.
Creosote builds up in stages. Stage one is powdery soot. Stage two is flaky. Stage three is a hard glaze. By stage three, it’s fuel coating your flue walls. A chimney fire can crack the liner, and a cracked liner can let heat reach the framing. It doesn’t happen to every skipped sweep, but it happens enough that we’d rather show you the footage than read a fire report. Call (571) 443-8256 and get a written price first.
No. The camera-scan inspection is included on every visit under Clause 4 of the Haven Standard. You get the photo record, the footage, and a written summary of every finding. There’s no add-on fee for the evidence.
We’ll do something better. Bring us the written estimate and we’ll review it for free. If the scope matches what we see on camera, we’ll give you our own written price for the same work. If the scope is padded, we’ll show you exactly where and why. The Free Second Opinion policy exists because written pricing should be comparable, and Fairfax homeowners shouldn’t need to be chimney experts to know the difference.
Call (571) 443-8256 to book any of the offers above. A live person answers, 24/7, and you’ll have a written price before anyone starts the work.
