A Level company - serving Fairfax, VA

Meet the Team - Level Two Chimney Fairfax

Every visit starts with

Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed

Worth knowing

Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

Meet the Fairfax Team Behind Level Two Chimney Fairfax

Fairfax homes throw a lot at a chimney: freeze-thaw cycles that crack crowns, tall trees dropping debris onto caps, and humid summers that make creosote cling. The crew we’ve assembled here knows those local conditions because they’ve worked in them for years. Every technician on this page is background-checked, uniformed, and named on the job ticket before arrival. What unites them isn’t tenure or titles. It’s the Haven Standard: a written price before work starts, a photo record when it’s done, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise behind it all.

Our People

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has inspected and swept over 9,000 chimneys across Northern Virginia since joining us in 2014. He holds a CSIA certification and handles our most complex Level 2 camera inspections, the kind where we find what the naked eye misses inside the flue. Marcus is the person we send when a homeowner in Vienna or Oakton has a chimney that’s been “fine for years” but hasn’t been looked at in a decade. He’ll show you the footage, explain what he sees in plain terms, and tell you honestly if a sweep is all you need. Outside of work, he restores old motorcycles and has a soft spot for mid-century ranch fireplaces.

Priya R., Senior Installer

Priya leads our liner and rebuild work, which means she’s fluent in DuraFlex and HeatShield systems and has installed more stainless steel flue liners in Fairfax County than she can count. Her specialty is retrofit work in older Fairfax City homes, where original clay tile liners have spalled and need full replacement without disturbing the masonry around them. Priya is meticulous about documentation: every liner job she completes includes before, during, and after photos as part of the written record. She grew up in Centreville and knows the housing stock here the way you only can when you’ve worked on it for twelve years. On weekends, she’s usually hiking in Shenandoah.

Dan O., Service Coordinator

Dan has been answering our phones since 2017, and he’s the reason you’ll always reach a live person, no matter the hour. He schedules every visit, confirms the technician’s name, and sends the text when they’re on the way. Dan knows the difference between a chimney cap replacement in Burke and a full rebuild in Annandale because he’s seen thousands of our job photos cross his desk. His role is simple: make sure every customer gets a written scope, a written price, and a written warranty before anyone sets foot in the home. Before joining Level Two, Dan managed logistics for a regional HVAC company, so he understands what “on schedule” actually requires.

Elena G., Apprentice Technician

Elena joined us in 2023 after two years in residential remodeling, and she’s nearing completion of her chimney technician training. She works alongside Marcus on inspections and sweeps, learning the trade the right way: camera first, brush second, documented record third. Elena grew up in Falls Church and has an eye for detail that serves her well when photographing liner conditions, crown cracks, and smoke chamber build-up. She’s already earned a reputation for spotting early-stage spalling before it becomes a rebuild. When she’s not on a roof, she’s teaching herself banjo, which she assures us is coming along.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard isn’t a poster in the shop. It’s a set of written clauses that every Fairfax job follows, whether it’s a $189 sweep or a full liner replacement. Clause 1 means a written price, written scope, and written warranty are delivered before anyone starts work. Clause 4 means a documented photo record on every visit, not as an add-on but as the default. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise means if something isn’t right, we make it right. Marcus, Priya, Dan, and Elena all work to that same standard, on every single chimney. That’s what “ten home-service brands, one standard” actually means when you’re standing in a Fairfax driveway looking up at your flue.
